Is located in the middle of a beautiful park to be reached via a gravelled drive. The view of the castle, surrounded by a moat, brings you immediately in the right mood. Inside you become at once the lady or the lord of the castle. The interior has been kept as in the Middle Ages. You will be staying in one of the magnificent and spacious rooms, decorated with antique wallpaper and matching furniture. The rooms have a television and a bathroom with bath or shower. 

In the original chapel of the castle there is a fridge, serving as a minibar with a choice of drinks, and can be used by all the guests.

 

The extensive breakfastbuffet, with real country farm products, is served in a magnificent neo-gothic dining room, completed with beautiful tapestry, as well as the decorated walls with gold leaf, graceful chandeliers and paintings with the portraits of the original owners of the castle. This castle is an ideal stay for antique, art and nature lovers. 

Very important : it is not allowed to smoke in the castle.

 

Tips 

the castle is 2 to 3 km away from Bruges and 14 km from the Belgian coast. A nice walk can be combined with a lot of culture. Bruges is one chain of historical monuments, impressive museums and twisting canals . You can admire in less than one square kilometre the works of art of Van Eyck, Memling, Michelangelo, Van der Weyden and Hieronimus Bosch.

The public city bus of Bruges takes you from and to the city from the entrance drive of the castle.

The bus n°41 or n° 42 leaves at the station of Bruges.

U take the bus with direction Dudzele - Knokke-Heist - Breskens.

The busstop for Castle ten Berghe is n°13 and also called "ten Berghe".
